I was considering getting a bunch to surround it like robocop, the classic Christopher Reeve superman, maybe the back to the future car with the head sticking out of it and the Adam west batman with batmobile, hulk. I can probably get a bunch from ebay.

Too soon...too soon... I still hope their mascot Jeffrey was either released into the wild or a zoo for mascots. I still remember the old jingle by heart:

I don't want to grow up, I'm a Toys R Us Kid. From toys to bikes and video games, it's the greatest toy store there is, gee wiz! I don't want to grow up cause baby if I did, I wouldn't be a Toys R Us kid.

I have 2 nieces 7 and 4. for the past 3 years, I'd take them to Toys r Us to shop for their Birthday gifts. I now have to find a new giant toy store to take them to, to continue that tradition. But that's the one we all grew up with as children of the 80's.

Had to go to the local post office the other week. Their little prepaid cards section still sold Toys R' Us gift cards. I thought that was lazy on their behalf. Then pondered if the company managed to retain an online presence.

Just checked. Site is running. But, quite abandoned.
