This KITT has a nice base, wondering what version is this as the base didn't come with the original 18th scale KITT, the model was just inside the styrofoam box. http://www.forum.mdiecast.com/gallery/i ... 4-dsc0145/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
That model is another prototype of the Special Edition. Though you can't see it in those pics- this one again has the electronics inside it. Similar to last year- this has working headlights/ foglights/ taillights/ interior, as well as sound f/x and speech. This model improves over last years as the electronics are inside KITT (last years they were inside the trailer and wired to KITT- making it non removable from the trailer) This one is removable and the base is used to recharge KITT.
Hot Wheels Elite tweeted to say that they shipped from the factory about a month a go (16th Feb to be precise).
From memory it's normally 4-6 weeks after that they start to arrive at retailers (in Europe at least), so they should be due in the next week or two I'd imagine.
i checked my tracking # from ups on my KARR. he should be at my house tomorrow. i'll be making a video of him shortly after i get out of work or on saturday.

The Super Elite KITT is also due out this month according to Entertainment Earth but they have been saying that since February.
Wow. Wow. Wow. Awesome to see those little details being given attention on these models, like the silver wheel wells and the rear bumper being black at the top. Looking great.
“Gimme maximum turbo thrust and blast me outta here, will ya!?”
Finally received my KARR today and must say it looks absolutely awesome
Here's few photos:
Headlight opening mechanism has been updated, I also love the updated tyres, they look great. Batteries seems to be low on power so scanner was a bit dim:
Extra set of T-tops, on purpose or by mistake? Tried the extra one on my KITT's passenger side which haven't been sit flush but it didn't sit much better than the original one. Still cool to have them if one pair goes lost or broken
Forgive me if this is old news, but I gotta say that it seems like a real challenge to get batteries back in for the scanner to work. Does anybody else have this problem?
Just got my K.A.R.R. in the mail tonight. Overall, awesome model with amazing detail. Took a bit to figure out that he has to be unscrewed from the styrofoam and the T-tops can be a bit tricky to snap in at first. The wheels seem perfectly fine to me—they even have the Pontiac logos just like the Aoshima models! Very pleased with the fog light placement and even for the fact that there's fog lights at all.
My one and only grievance? The scanner. It's AMBER/ORANGE, NOTYELLOW!!!!!!!!! The trail effect is absolutely awesome, if only it weren't only visible from a top view. It shouldn't be blurred. It should show each individual bulb head-on with the trail effect. Close enough.

Now, my mind can't help but wonder if Ben Heck (electronic's modification guy on YouTube) were to get his hands on one of these...what he could do. Perhaps, micro LCD's on the dash to make it come alive? Tiny drive motor to make it 'Vrooom' across the shop floor? Remote mike for voice?
